In a sign of the expansion of the 'better for you' drinks megatrend, new stats out from the US show that it has spread into wine, with sales almost quadrupling in volume during 2021 and reaching 3 million cases in the U.S. by year-end.
Low-alcohol and low-calorie wines are leading the charge, with seltzer drinkers apparently also part of this new cohort of drinkers.
Sure, this is an American trend, but with a raft of new low alc/low-calorie releases from the likes of McGuigan, Yalumba & Giesen now hitting the shelves, we expect the trend to be mirrored here in Australia.
