One of the big winners in drinks land for 2022 was scotch whisky, with the latest stats pointing to a rise in global exports of 37% by value to £6.2 billion ($11b AUD) last year, with a volume increase of 21%.

That all means the equivalent of 1.67 billion 700ml bottles of scotch whisky were exported last year, with the US market alone worth £1 billion pounds.

You know what everyone is drinking too? Single malt whisky, which is up 30% in value for 2022.
