Now here is a curly question that our friends at The Shout have dived into – are the rules any different for the service of non-alcoholic wine, beer, spirits etc?

You’d think that the answer is pretty straightforward, no? It turns out that it’s just a little murkier than expected, largely because of the often arcane laws we have around access to bar areas in licensed venues. Andy Young also points to a great moral question – is it a good look for minors in a licensed venue drinking what appears to be beer and wine?
