in an Australian first, Banrock Station & Taylors will soon release wine in new eco-friendly PET wine bottles.

And they’re flat.

Their squished profile means that these bottles are much more stackable than traditional round bottles, which cuts down further on freight bulk. Combine that with bottles that are 83% lighter and you’ve got yourself a convenient and ‘greener’ way to ship wine around the world.

But are they too odd to gain wider acceptance? That’s the only story remaining.
